new customer or not?

My original contract ended 9/2003.
I upgraded to HD, appeared to get almost everything a new customer would and wound up with a 211 and a 722K. 3 months of HBO/SHO, and credits to wipe out the install fee for the new DISH and equip.

Until 7/09 they could not furnish me networks in HD. Finally All American came through or i was going to DirecTV. The rep kept telling me they were cheaper than D* and I kept telling him that the only way that would be true was if E* gave me the networks in HD for free or for $5, which they could not do. After almost 30 minutes, his supervisor gave in and we reached an agreement. Do you homework and be polite but just keep insisting. Know exactly what D* will do for you and what type of new customer packages E* has. I am the only person on my street with E* HD. All other HD customers are with D*.
