New Comcast Sports channel in Oregon

Does anyone know if this channel is going to get added to the Sports Pack?

I would be ecstatic if that happens because I am a transplanted Oregon Ducks fan living in Idaho, and there are about half of the basketball and football games that I cant pick up unless I order ESPN Gameplan and ESPN Full Court. I dont see why Dish wouldnt add this channel considering there are multiple other Comcast Sports Net channels offered in the Sports Pack.

Dish usually gets around to RSNs if they are not priced too high.

An article in this morings Portland paper said they haven't come to terms with any of the satellite distributors yet. The launch is pretty far away yet in contract terms. I wouldn't expect to see it here on Dish on launch day. It's possible but not probable.

Man I sure hope this comes soon

I noticed Wikipedia is saying the channel will be known as Comcast Sports Net Northwest, and it says it will be launching "October 2007". Hopefully this will come soon and Dish will add it soon, because Im tired of having to purchase ESPN Gameplan and ESPN Full Court in order to see the Oregon Ducks Football and Basketball games that arent shown on FSN, or are shown nationally.

There's no guarantee the Ducks games won't be blacked out outside the local area. Some college sports division require blackouts outside of the local RSN area. Not to say the Ducks will be blacked out, just saying be prepared for that possibility.

Which ones are blacked out? I was just curious because I subscribe to the sports pack, and I notice that the majority of games on gameplan are on one of the RSN's. The ones that are exclusively on gameplan and not on one of the RSN's have been the only ones I havent been able to get. (i.e. the Ducks games on the Oregon Sports Network)
