New Charlie Chat already being promo'ed...

I was just watching tv and they ran a commercial for the charlie chat on the 12th. I've never seen a chat get a commercial before.

It was a "25th anniversary" themed commercial, saying there would be celebrities (Mark Cuban, some woman I didn't recognize, and Chuck Woolery pictured), Larry King did a generic "congrats on 25 years" message from his desk, promise of new programming talk, chances to win DVR's and Pocketdish, new promotions, etc...

Better TV for all was the tagline, no mention of suckage...

You call those celebrities? The larry king footage was from his cnn desk, and it didn't even sync to the voice, omg how much did that cost...

So yeah, um, just found it odd that this is being hyped so much... Could a chat actually have some relevant content for once? Charlies explanation to why we've finally got NFL network (and others) should be interesting...

... and so far I've seen nothing like a good charlie chat.

But in all fairness, there have been some Charlie Chats and some Tech Chats that I've seen that held my interest somewhat. Moreso in the more distant past than the more recent past though. The online chats on here are always worth attending however.

That's great that they are finally getting NFL, thats a great thing for their 25th anniversary.

Theyve ran commercials for charlie chat in the past, seems to pop up more when theres new promo's coming out and theyre gonna have a b or c list celeb on like they did with one of the soprano's a year or so ago. Ive never seen one short of 2 mins in my 5 1/2 years of working for the company, might as well set up the dvr to record next mondays one and see whats up.

I thought they were getting the NFL, that's just the NFL channel, unless there is still hope and that this may be a good sign that they could be getting NFL Sunday Ticket this fall.

I think D* has an exclusive on NFL:ST for at least this year, and maybe more.

NFL Sunday Ticket is locked up under contract to the NFL by DirecTV for the next 5 years. There is no way Echostar could add it during this period.
