New and need some Help ...

What a great site ....
I have a 921, and, had no problems - probably should not have said that. I see from this forum, many of you get software updates. How do I know if I am up-to-date. How did you know if you got an update ?
Also, if I have a standard resolution program on my PVR, how do I copy it onto my DVD recorder?
I was able to fo this on my other DISH PVR, but can't seem to figure it out on this one.

Find the System Information screen. Look for L213HECD or L213HEED. The 213 is your software level, the HECD/HEED is a hardware type. I suggst you look around for it, because then you'll find some of the other things - like the resolution and aspect ratio settings - which is a chunk of what you need to make the RCA outputs work to drive the DVD recorder properly. It'll probably do SOMETHING now if you shift into SD mode (yellow light instead of blue light).
