I read the manual with no help on the air mode setup. I setup the modulator menu screen with TV2 on 55 air. I tuned my 2nd sd TV to channel 55. Nothing but static.

Help Please.

The installer replaced my switch and LNB's on both sat dishes.
Do I need to run a RG6 cable from home distribution coax out to the 2nd
TV?

Thanks

yes, somehow the home distribution output needs to be connected to the 2nd tv. The installer should have done this. If it is connected change it to cable (instead of air) and it might work. But if it is not connected you are SOL.

Just in case of misconception, air mode does not mean "wireless". Yes, you need a cable running from your receiver to TV2.

AIR Mode channel 55 (OTA Standard TV) is not the same channel as CABLE Mode 55.

Annecdote: AIR channels used to be 2-83 then dropped to 2-69. There was a big fight with SMR (Specialized Mobile Radio IE: Law Enforcement)/Nextel and people that liked the significance of 69 over the frequency that Air 69 is on (800- 806 MHZ). And of course will be gone in Feb 2009 due to conversion to Over The Air Digital TV versus Analog TV.

Cable Channel 55 = 414-420 Mhz
Air Mode Channel 55 = 716-722 Mhz

Ted...

Thanks guys for help, I ran a rg6 to tv2 and put modulation to 73 on cable. I now get a dishnetwork screen that says "press select to watch tv". Using remote 2 I press select and NOTHING, will not change channels.
I have the remote antenna screwed in. I walked into tv 1 room and pressed select with no help. Maybe a bad remote.

Any help would be appreciated.
Thanks

BTW Dual mode is on, remote tv2 has fresh batteries.

I run into this often with 622/722 receivers. Try this... take number 2 remote to TV-1 room, using number 1 remote, press 'menu' twice. This should bring up a 'sys info' screen. Now press the record button on number 2 remote. This should match the remote address to the receiver.
