I had my EA installed yesterday. I was told that for $15 a installer would come out and upgrade my dish to the EA. I checked my account this morning and I had a $99.95 charge for the dish. I contacted dish, and in order to waive the $99.95 charge I had to agree to a new 24 month term. Did this happen to anyone else?

Did you have to upgrade any receivers too??

Nope I already had a 211 and a 622. dish 500 pointed at 110 and 119 and a wing dish pointed at 61.5.

I would call Dish and dispute the $99.95 charge. Was it mentioned when the service call was set up?

Tell them you had line of sight issue to receive the hd that you pay for, so there shouldn't be any fee or at most $15.00 for the tech visit.

I just checked on the Dish Network website and I am only being charged $10 because they gave me a $5 credit for being a great customer. As I said before the installer did a excellent job setting me up to a EA and left the other three 510's hooked up to the two older dishes.

Dish did waive the 99.95 charge but only because i agreed to a new 24 month term. I was only 12 months into my last term.

That is the issue. You should never have had to commit to two more years for an issue created by Dish network. New commitments are for new equipment.
