Hello! Can someone give me some good information pertaining to my new Dish Network System? I have two VIP222K receivers with two remote TV's. They (Dish) have the 1000.4 pointing at 61.5,72.7 & 77. My signal I feel is very poor for my local channels 25 to 28 percent on tranponder 15. 72 & 77 are in the mid 60's to low 70's. I have has two tech's out since install. All say that's it it is at peak. I found a site that gave me a foot print of 61.5 and I am in a fringe area due to the fact that I am 128 miles south of Tampa,Fl. where the fp goes lighter. The other day we had a light rain and the signal on TP 15 went into the amber bar for signal and tiled/piciled . I want to call them back and request something be done to improve the signal. I am willing for another dish on the roof for one dedicated satellite and continue to use the 1000.4 for the 72.7 & 77 satellites tweeking that bigger dish for those satellites. Any impute please before I call them back? Thank you, Ronk O! I live in Ft.Myers, Fl. area (west coast areaof Florida)33914 zip code

I don't know if they will do it, but where you are located a dedicated dish for 61.5 would really help. I use a 30 wineguard dish purchased from Solid Signal tied to a dish 500 for 110/119. I don't know how you would tie it to a 1000.4, but someone can tell you. Also, you can use a dish 500 as a standalone for 61.5, the signals will just not be as strong.

Yes, using a dish 500 with a DPP+ ( dish pro Plus) LNB and a dedicated dish 500 W/ dish pro single and a LNB adaptor should fix your problem. Hope they will do that for free!

Ft. Myers is well within the 61.5 South Florida spotbeam. Your signals should be higher. Make sure the tech peaks the 1000.4 using 61.5.
