Hi
I have been spending days on the roof trying to point my Dish to Express A3, so far I have not been able to lock any channel upon scan. I purchased a SF-95 signal meter. I have:
1. WINEGARD DS-2077 31" dish.
2. Coolsat Dual Output KU Band Standard LNBF - Linear
3. 25 feet coax from LNB + coax connector to receiver (no switch)
4. Starbox Twinhan Visionplus USB FTA Satellite receiver
5. Windows XP, TwinhanDTV driver.
I live in zip code 02919(Johnston, RI) and tried my best to point my dish to Azim:124.2 degree and Elev:13.1 degree. The best signal strength I was able to point my dish to ranges from 38% - 43% (according to TwinhanDTV software). My quality bar stays at 32% while strength fluctuates from 35%-40%.
Then I was told, unfortunately, there is no footprint for KU into North America on Express A3. This satellite KU signal only covers Western Europe. The LNBF also would need to be Universal type as all KU frequencies on that satellite are below 11.7 GHz.
I checked RSCC(http://www.rscc.ru/en/news/news/2005.04.29.html) web site and found out that they're broadcasting to the eastern part of North America in both C & KU.
Here is my programming channels that I'm trying to get: http://www.lyngsat.com/ea3.html
Now, I completely confused. I need your help or advice. If you need more info, please let me know.
Thank you very much!
