Take the reciever and a portable tv to the dish, see if it works there. If it does, cabling problem. If it does'nt, lnb/aiming.

Not a cabling problem because i got muslim tv on the settings for 99w but still cant get 97w using dishpointer.com for help in aiming at 97w and aim according to the map i still get 40-41% signal strength and 0-1% quality

I don't see a "Muslim TV" listed on lyngsat for 99west, I do see many foreign channels from GlobeCast listed for Galaxy 19(was Galaxy 25)at 97west.

i hit 87.0w AMC 3 blind scanning satellites around 97w to see where my dish was. i am aiming where 97w should be for my location but am getting 40-41% strength no quality

Are you using a compass for alignment?
Use Dishpointer.com only as a general guide, it's not perfect, adjust for best quality.
Have the receiver drive the Dish to 97west using USALS, loosen the Motor mount just enough to adjust East or West for best Quality on 97west.
Check a Sat as far East or West as you can see, make any adjustments necessary, recheck 97west.

used a compass the cheap sadoun sat meter and tried the short cable at the dish with small TV still no signal strength above 40-41% and 0-1% quality so what am i doing wrong

Clouds shouldn't make a difference.
Again, this was a fully functioning system, and you just moved the setup to a more suitable location, all equipment is the same?

What do you have the Motor Lat and Dish Elevation set to?
Did you do a system reset that may have changed the LNB settings in the Receiver's setup menu?

i aimed at the compass headings for my location form the list and still nothing motor lat is set to 33 dish elevation 29 as should be for my location, and for some reason i now cant hit my true south sat (g19 @ 97w )

From Sadoun.com Dishpointer for 32.75N, 97.5W
Motor Latitude: 32.8° - Your 33 looks good
Dish Elevation: 25° - Dish markings are known to be Off a few, you have 29
Azimuth (mag.): 181.0° using Compass

Double check LNB settings in the Setup Menu

I think you might be too high as well.

Try for the 101° DirecTV bird with an analog squealer meter. That should be pretty easy to find and will get you AMC4 on linear. Have the receiver drive the dish over to 101° and then find that noisy DBS satellite with the meter and you should be a lot closer to lined up. You do not need a circular LNBF, your linear will have enough bleed for the cheap meter.

You should be able to get 101 or 91. If you can't, I would say setup an 18" dish on this pole and find 91 and 101 that way, then mark the pole clearly for those two spots and you will know 97 is between them. Then just get the linear lined up between those two marks and you should find it.
