Hello, I have a working 2.4m dish in Africa pulling in AFN signals from the 10-02 Intelsat. I have strong and consistent signal in all weather with the single Diplosat LNB I used before.
My troubles began when I switched to a DMX242 Twin C Band LNBF from WSI. While I recieve a strong signal on one decoder, on my second decoder I get a very broken digital signal with frequent artifacts that overwhelm the picture from time to time.
Switching cables results in the broken picture appearing on the first decoder, so I have ruled out decoder or cabling issues. Signal strength on the good image runs at 82+ and a steady 80 on the bad, using an D9845 AFN decoder by Cisco.
I am running both cables from the dual LNB outputs to the decoders...do I need a multiswitch to clear this up? Or am I just short of a good signal that I can clear this up
by adjusting the dish?
Many thanks in advance for your help!
Best wishes and happy holidays to those of you in colder climates...
