Need help with ROC 33" elliptical dish assembly for 110/119/118/129.

Hello,
I am setting up my own dish, and I would like to request your assistance in helping me figure out how this thing is put together.

It is a ROC 33" inch dish supplied with three lnb's per the listing (at a flea bay which I can't link to here).
The model number of the dish is AE800x-2511, but googling it helped none. I have tried searching the forums, and I still cannot figure out how this bracket is assembled onto this dish.

Question: Does the bracket work with this dish, and does the bracket go above or below the existing plastic lnb holder? It seems that the bracket was provided to space out the lnbs to for this purpose.

Let me throw this out here
What receiver are you trying to use?

Reason I say that is that setup you got wont work for what you want (110/118/119/129). Reason is those aftermarket 118.7/119 LNB's (the ones that use to be used to steal dish with a FTA receiver) wont work with a Dish receiver. You would need the actual Dish Network LNB assembly

Also the most sats the receiver will see with that setup is 3. I had an old setup with 3 LNB's like you showed there for 110, 119 and 129 hooked to an aftermarket SW31 switch.

Are you currently a Dish sub? Dish can probably give you the correct dish to what you sub to for a pretty small fee

Hello there Iceberg! From what I hear, you're a legend around here.

I am using a VIP211K receiver. If the aftermarket LNB won't work, then I might just not install the dish. Should I try pointing it anyhow? I am disappointed, and will contact the flea bay seller to return the dish - as they stated that it would pickup the Dish Network 110/119/118/129. I have a DPP44 switch, that I was planning to use in conjunction with a DP21 switch to add in my existing 61.5w satellite (as it just sits on the roof right now).

I think you mean a 1000+ dish for 118.7.

That depends on whether international channels are of any interest. Wanting and needing are two different things.

Clearly the existing 61.5W dish is of little use (only for a couple of PI channels) and will remain so as long as it is pointed at 61.5W.

ok. A couple components wont work properly in that setup
The DPP44+ switch wont work with the LNB's as those LNB's in the pic are Legacy and you can't mix Legacy and DishPro switches/LNB's together
The DP21 wont work for the same reason the DPP44+ wont
The LNB's that are marketed for 118.7/119 will not work with Dish receiver. Those are designed (poorly) to try and steal Dish Network back a couple years ago. Dish receivers require specific frequencies to map properly. Free to air recievers can still work even if the frequencies are wrong. And honestly I tried one of those when DIsh started 118.7 to see what was free out there and the LNB didnt even work.

You can try and jimmy rig the dish to work but you would need a SW31 to combine 3 sats (the max allowed) and couldn't have 118.7 in the mix (and actually I dont think that "special" LNB will work for 119 with a 211 anyways)

If you currently sub to an International channel Dish has been doing upgrades due to the channels moving to 118.7 for little to no money.

If you want to add an international channel and dont have one now it would be $95 upgrade ($15 with the protection plan)

I am going to contact the seller and return this dish. There is no point for me teetering on my roof, only to be disappointed many hours later. I will try to find the right Dish 1000+ somewhere...

i know this is a old post but i have the same dish and i do pick up all 5 sats, you just need to use dish lnb's
