They will show your a signal and sometimes a Quality, but will not show pictures (SF6000 only). They will work on perfectly on TRUE FTA Equipment only without a hitch.
I like the s/n better - the best figure of the 3 for peaking a dish, IMHO.
It works perfectly for peaking DVB-S and directv signals. I've used it to peak my 13 large and small dishes, including my dish network dish and a neighbor's DIRECTV dish so they could have more signal margin during rainstorms.
I got mine from ACL because it was the cheapest I could find. Tech support is no biggie because I was told in a recommendation that it is easy to use if you've been around sat communications as long as I have been (19 years) and i was told I could email questions to my friend if I found msyelf stuck trying to do something with that meter. I never had any problems as the meter is straightforward to use once you practice along with the manual on a known signal or two to learn how to use the meter.
