Need help with existing Eastern Arc installation

I have had the Eastern Arc since it originally became available. My installer only ran two RG6 cables from the 1000.4 dish. One is connected to a 722K and the other to a 612. I would like to add another dish HD receiver to my system. Is it better to run a third RG6 cable or connect one or both of the existing RG6 cables to a DPP 44 switch? If those options are not acceptable, what is the best option for adding the third receiver?

It is better to run a third RG6 line. A tech will do that for you or you can do it yourself...

A 1000.4 dish should have three outputs, no need for an external switch.

Thanks for the replies. Without climbing on the roof to see for myself, how is it possible to wire the LNBs with two cables yet receive all three satellites?

The dish has a built in switch for up to 3 receivers...

The LNB has a built-in switch, so it combines all 3 satellite signals into one cable

My 1000.4 is located on a part of my roof that would require me to have a death wish to reach it. Is it possiblt to utilize one or both of the existing cables with a DPP 44 switch?

The LNB's internal switch is shut off when an external switch is connected, so you'd still need a 3rd line from the dish to get all 3 satellites
