Need help with Dish 1000, 311 rec. and DPP Twin

Using a spare dish and taking a receiver out of the house to use in RV on weekends. We don't have HD service so I took the single LNBF for 129 sat. off. I have it hooked back up at the house but the picture is snowy. What could be the problem?

Snowy is an indication of a problem on the RF output side.

Maybe a poor connection of cable or such.

The digital side (input) is either clear or gone.

snow is either the receiver isn't on, the tv isn't on channel 3 or 4, or the wire from the receiver to the tv isn't connected properly
