need help setting up motorized system

Hi: I'm in the same boat with mtorres7. I have set up a VS2000 Xtreme and can only get a very small Q-signal on few birds. No Video, and no Idea how to find 'primary sat' (?) Receiver comes with wonderful instructions! ..L O L
My Location: 27.6N 80.1W (zipcode 32960 FL)
30" dish on DMS sg-2100 rotor
I'd like to get as many birds as possible. Any help would be great.

I would use AMC 5 at 79.0°W for your "True South" It has a lot of good strong TP's.
I have heard of people having problems with a viewsat working a motor, but some say they work ok with USALS.

I've heard that the VS will only move the motor if you select an active TP, whereas my Coolsat will turn the dish to a satellite even if there is no signal.

I haven't pursued it much further with my 2000 Extreme so I don't know if it's 100% true or not.
