motorola 10-Y, I think, from somewhere in the 30's. Surprisingly, the wooden upright consoles aren't worth a lot, unless things have changed in the last fifteen years or so. Nice though, I love those old radios.

Wait, just looked again at the pictures and see that yours has a square dial, so it's not a 10-Y. I'll try to find out for you what model it is.

Wow, that is a tough one. Look on the metal chassis inside and see if the model# or chassis# is stamped on it, usually on the lower right corner, sometimes they did that. there should be a paper tag glued or stapled somewhere inside the cabinet with the model#, but that could be long gone, maybe check if someone stuffed it under the chassis or something like that so it wouldn't get lost. Gonna copy your picture and give it to a few friends and see if they know. You could look along the back edges of the wooden cabinet where the back screws on and see if any #'s are stamped into the wood there too, might be.

What's that # on the tube chart in your picture? A16117?

Make a note it does work it kick on when I plug it up listen to different ham frequencies. I swept out the cob webs no manual just dirt. Could this be a rare model radio?
