9036 wsi dish 9120hh motor and an old receiver pansat2700a and 521standard linear lnb.
My latitude is 30 so
I aimed true south and tried to find 97w and no luck for two nights...
I did 30 latitude (60 elevation) on motor and used 40-5=35 as dish declination. Here is setting on receiver for 97w
Lnb: standard
Local frequency : 10750
22khz : off
Diseqc: off
Legal sw: off
Tp :12152 h20000
Usals

There is no g19 on pansat 2700a instead I used g25(old name)

I can get some signal but no quality at all no matter how I tune it up....please help diagnose...thanks!

Follow these steps in order....

Make sure your mounting post is 100% level and strong,

Set the motors latitude scale to your latitude,

Drive the motor to 97w using usals,

Now go out and aim the motor/dish at 97w,

When you adjust horizontally you move the entire dish/motor assembly on the pole,

When you adjust vertically you move the dish only, not the motor,

As pointed out in other threads. The instructions may be wrong as for the Dish Elevation Angle setting. The Dish Elevation Angle may need to be set at 30 degrees minus the 5 degrees declination = 35 degrees.

Maybe another member with a 9120 motor could advise?
