NewB Needs Help mirroring TV's to 722
I just installed DISH HDTV with a vip722 receiver.
The installer hooked up my HDTV, TV1, on the vip722 receiver and a bedroom TV2 on SD running on channel 60.
I have two other older TV's and I asked the installer if I could mirror TV2 on these TV's. He told me I could by running a jumper from the antenna side of the SCS-2 diplexer to a splitter and hooking up the other two TV's along with my TV2 bedroom TV and they would all work fine.
I found out one of the older TV's only went up to channel 57 while the other one went to channel 83, so I went into system setup (6-1-5) on the 722 receiver and changed the TV2 output to channel 55, mode... AIR. I then went back to the bedroom and changed TV2 to channel 55 and it worked fine off the splitter.
I had a choice of setting the one older TV channel setup to CATV or TV. I set it to TV. There is no automatic scan on that TV. There was not even a choice on the other older TV that only went to channel 57.
My problem now is when I go to channel 55 on either of the two older TV's I only get snow....no signal. I am stumped as to why the two older TV's on the splitter won’t work when the bedroom TV2 works just fine off the same splitter. These TV's were just working yesterday on Charter cable so I know the coax and connections are O.K. What am I missing????
