I am installing a 240cm Prime Focus antenna using the BSC321SP Prime Focus Ku kit which Includes:

1 Ku Adapter bracket for a Prime Focus Dish
1 BSC321SP LNBF 40mm

I am located at 13.15N 61.12W (St. Vincent and the Grenadines). What will be my True South position? I am installing the dish to see AMC4 @ 101W. I am hoping to motorize the dish later to see 101W, 97W, 72W and 123W (Free to Air reception).

I want to subscribe to Skyangel (61.5W). I am wondering if I can use the Invacom Linear/Circular LNBF on this 240cm Prime Focus antenna and if it will get good reception.

I need someone who is knowledgable like "iceburg" to respond to this. Thanks!

well I'm not iceburg but I guess IcebErg can help :)

your true south would be Dish 61.5 (or Sky Angel) so that works out pretty good

I don't see why not. Unless the DBS LNB's do not work good with a Prime Focus dish but it should.

dang...for your true south (61.5) the elevation is 74.5 and azimuth is between 195-200 for the true south

Here is where I got the info

Help Need to install a Motorized Prime Focus 240cm System

Ok Iceberg sorry for the error. I want to motorized my system and this is what I have:

Prime Focus dish (240cm)
Pansat 2700A Receiver
Invacom Circular/Linear LNBF
Actuator for prime focus dish VENTURE 18-inch Mini-T 710
LNBF Collar II for C / Ku Prime Focus Dishes (Used to mount LNBF on prime focus dishes)

Would I have to use the V-Box to move the Actuator or the Pansat 2700A can do that? Secondly, I am installing it frist at 61.5W, how do I go about doing this? I can install a Offset dish to find a satellite in less than 10 minutes but this is my first prime focus motorize set up.

I want to know the elevation to start with consider my location is 13.15N and 61.12W. If I am starting with 61.5W, I know my Elevation is 74 and Azimuth is 181.6.

I know the LNBF have to be 0 degrees (no skew) but what to do from there I will need help. So I know there are some professionals here at satelliteguys and I need your help.

I am hoping to motorized my dish to see Skyangel @ 61.5W, Galaxy 25 @ 97W, AMC4 @ 101W and Galaxy 10R @123W.

Need your help guys.

Yes you will need a V-Box to move it, be sure to get the V-Box II, as the V-Box had all kinds of problems. You could also use an old analog receiver to control the actuator as well as receive analog Wild Feeds. The LNBF should be good to go on the Polar Mount, and the Skew should follow the Arc. Good Luck!
