Need Help for setting up coolsat 4000 pro for G3c

Help setting up coolsat 4000 pro for G3c

I have been trying to aim the dish at G3c with a fortek Star 80cm offset dish.
I got up to 97 % on signal level and quality flashing up and down 25%. Got my position from satellite finder caculator. I wonder If I doing everything right. I just could not lock on to GC3 by doing manual scan . I am new I don't know if you have to input anything to the receiver or just use whatever default setting in there? I have been trying for a few days now and get really frustrated with this thing. Any help will be greatly appreciated.

I am assuming you are trying to get CCTV? That is a real strong signal (gives me a 80 quality on my Coolsat).

If you go to manual scan, the transponder should be in there
11780 frequency
H
20760 symbol rate

Where are you located (zip would work or general area). Then we can see if the elevation and stuff is right.

The thing with the Fortec dishes is some of them the elevation is off by a couple degrees. My 36” is like that. G3 for me is at 38 but the elevation looks like its at 35.

also make sure your LNB is skewed as that can make a big difference.

I will try again. I will let you know if I got it. The thing I encountered before was when I try to input the frequency 11780 the receiver will nor let me and tell me it is a invaled frequency. Could you tell how did you changed frequency in there. Also the G3c/c in the coolsat is the same as G3c? My zip is 66614. Thank you very much.

do this

Go to install setup and bring up G3

If you have a regular LNB (not Universal), set it up just like the picture (well, actually have the DiseQc part off)

If its universal, change the LO from 10750 to 10600 and make the 22k on

Then you should be able to put in 11780 (it sounds like it ss et for C-Band right now)

G3 is your true south so the LNB doesnt need to be skewed

It sounds like you are trying to input in a KU frequency on a c band sat designation. G3 is both c and ku, does the coolsat have a g3/ku sat that you can select?

Unfotunatelly not…Its set for C-Band I think and to have KU you either
-have to add a satellite
-change the LO frequency

the volume is at about 1/2....turn it up to 100%

I've gone as far as deleting all the transponders and adding a few key ones for a sanity check.... then blind scanning.

I did this when I separated G11 from Nimiq 1/3. I used G11C for G11Ku.
