Need advice!!

After dealing with family issues for months and finally finding some time to call Dish up to set up a new agreement, I was offered a decent deal if I signed up for two years. Being a bit weary from dealing with all the family issues, I agreed and signed up for two years.

While the rep was rattling off all of the terms, I screwed up and missed that they were changing the package that I had for the last four years from America's Top 200 to America's Top 120+. Now it appears that I agreed to something that wasn't clearly explained to me.

Do I have any recourse to negate this recent agreement? Or any options at all? Really appreciate any assistance here, thanks!

I believe some states require a three day (or some amount of time) "grace period" to back out of a contract. You should be able to do some google searching to find out if that's applicable to you.

Or, surely you were sent a copy of the contract, read over it. Get someone else to read over it if necessary and see if there are any "outs" other than paying ETF.

I called in a few weeks ago they would only offer 10 dollars off and wanted to drop my programing down from 250 to 120 plus remove a few receivers saying I don’t need them. Thats how they could save me some money. I have been with them for over 20 some years . Trying Hulu out now. Nice picture just trying to get use to the guide.

I'm not crazy about the Hulu guide. As far as I can tell, it's alphabetical, and there's no way to "jump" to channel (if you're watching ABC and want to go USA for example, you need to scroll ALL the way down). You can set favorites, but if you want to change the favorites, you can't do it from the guide itself, just online. If you've found some ways around these hassles, I'd appreciate it if you shared them.

Interesting that they'd be so willing to have subscribers downgrade programming in favor of a lower rate that they're pushing and even deceiving people into it. Shows a priority shift from maximizing billings to simply hanging onto subs

The guide is alphabetical but you can set favorites. I like the recently viewed tab it’s covers pretty much all of the channels I tend to watch. The local tab is good. I do like the movies and sports tab it’s very easy to see what is on and coming on . It’s definitely a learning curve. My daughter is a pro at it she has been streaming everything for years. I did watch a few videos that gave great tips. Apple TV works totally different than some of the others . I was thinking this sucks until I watched how to use the touch remote on the Apple TV . I was paying 201.50 for dish plus 30 dollars for the Hulu bundle with Disney and HBO . Now I am paying 148 . I now have ESPN with adds , unlimited screens, Hulu and Disney no adds . That’s an 80 dollar savings each month. I think I can get use to the Guida for that savings .I need to learn how to record . I learned how to skip and move back and forth. I also like the add notification in the top corner and how long till it’s over . The picture is much clearer than dish .
