I have a Captive Works 600P. The Xmas bonus went to a Sony Bravia 40" LCD. It's HD. Of course the CW600P can't handle it. So, in your opinion which are the best receivers for F2A on the market. It must be HD.

My vote goes to the Coolsat 8100 with it's PVR on external drive ( or a used CS8000). The reason is it's out-of-the-box DVB-S2 support. I'm watching Big Ten basketball in impeccable HD on my CS8000 right now.
:)

I'll throw a vote in for the Pansat 9200 because it has a very good blind scan. It's also PVR capable.

Hmm, bad tuner, no dvb-s2 and even with the add on board there is no blind scan on dvb-s2.

The Pansat 9000 was a much better unit.

True about the S2 add in board but , bad tuner? It plays feeds with a quality as low as 35% without any problems. It's not a perfect box by any means. I could suggest so many improvements but, then we all could I guess. I've never dealt with the 9000

Does the coolsat 8100 have blind scan?

No so far in North America only the 9200 has blind scan, from what I read on many forums I see many complaints about 7/8 fec feeds on C-band with the 9200, this is of course if the dish is undersized or not aligned well.

I haven't yet purchased the S2 board for my pansat. There hasn't been enough S2 that I was interested in watching for me to do it. That is probably what you are talking about.

what's that? ;)
