Hi All,
I have the "major" satellites from west to (almost) south tuned in. I aligned it myself, and I know that it could probably be better...I just stopped at "good enough".

But when I try to get to SBS6 and points slightly East, the signals seem REALLY weak. I finally got SBS6 (found some games on a saturday) but they were quite sparkly.

Since everything else West to (almost) South is ok, I'm wondering about my declination being an issue, and playing with that bolt a bit. I've read a little and it seems like they say "Don't mess with declination!!". Frankly I'm not so sure.

Bottom line, when I get to south or farther, things get sparkly. Thoughts?
Thanks,
Jerry

Declination is not critical. No need to mess with it.

Adjust elevation to a southern sat and don't touch it.

Go to furthest west sat and lift edge of dish and lower edge of dish. Signal should drop off either way. If it does dish is peaked.

if not:

Mark az on pole and move 1/4". Run motor to peak again on western sat.
check and repeat as needed until dish is polor arking thru middle of western sat.

Recheck elevation on southern sat if you have to move az a large amount.
