Need a new box.

Hi guys.
My AzBox MineMe went dead after rebooting a few times even with the new firmware. Tried the safe mode recovery many times with no luck box is dead.
I would like a reliable box capable of S2 format Mpeg4, 8psk. No internet no Utube no Media Player
just plain FTA....
What do you suggest.

Linkbox 9000 or older Manhattan 1933 I would look for try calling skyvision or hypermegasat.

What about Manhattan DJ1997 are there any bugs with this one?
I know it's not just fta but is it worth to try.

Apparently the DJ1997 is not as good at displaying SD channels and not as 'hobbyist friendly' as the 1933 (as stated in this thread - http://www.satelliteguys.us/xen/posts/3795155/). As far as bugs, I read on 'another site' that the DJ1997 originally had trouble scanning the Luken Mux on 87W. Unsure if this is accurate though as I don't have one myself. If true, I would imagine it has been addressed with a firmware upgrade by now. Perhaps someone else who has experience with the DJ1997 can confirm?

Ali chipset are best putting a sd picture on a hd set. I am not fan of the signal meter on anything that has a novatek chipset.

Thanks i will stay with my sd box until something better comes up, no S2 or Mpeg 4, but a few itc feeds....

I have a MiniMe, and just upgraded the software to a new version. It is running good for me. I wonder if your unit is still in warranty. If you got from Dr Sat, I think he warrants them for 2 years.
