I don't care as much for episodes going to the history of the character. Was it "coincidence" that NCIS NOLA also did an episode with Brodys history?

Without the back stories and life experiences of the characters , the story line would be very mundane and boring. The characters are more real to me if you know where they came from and what they have been through. This week alone we discovered Tony's bad teen years, and the prep academy he was attending. This explains more about Tony and why he thinks the way he does.

Well we know where he got his love of movie tag lines. When Tony was about to get out of the Citroen, Tanner says "leave the gun..take the cannolis" and Tony goes huh??

If you've ever watched any of the old shows on USA or wherever,in the beginning Gibbs was the movie fan,then at some point they switched it to Tony.

yeah, kept thinking he was going to die or get killed off, with Gibbs finding out his and Diane's will gave him custody of Emily.

The best thing on last nights episode was a commercial for Cote de Palma being on a special Tuesday night in 2 weeks My mistake commercial for "Dove Keepers" commercial was on NCIS NOLA.
