Since the beginning. It’s lost its way, too.MIkeD and Teachsac, do you guys watch the Mothership NCIS ???
It has been on for 93 years, about time it comes to a end.Since the beginning. It’s lost its way, too.
Why, rating must still be good, they keep bringing it back.It has been on for 93 years, about time it comes to a end.
I never got into Sydney ...I like all of the NCIS shows including the new "Origins". But the Sydney one is my least favorite. Being I am from Louisiana the New Orleans one was my favorite.
Ratings are down from last season (-19%) and continues to drop, plus the fact it is a expensive show to produce, doubtful it will be cancelled this year, but I can see next year, after marketing it as the final season-Why, rating must still be good, they keep bringing it back.
Difference being, the other shows you mentioned are New ones.Ratings are down from last season (-19%) and continues to drop, plus the fact it is a expensive show to produce, doubtful it will be cancelled this year, but I can see next year, after marketing it as the final season-
NCIS (4.9 mil/0.3) dipped to season lows, while NCIS: Origins (3.5 mil/0.2) matched its smallest audience yet and hit a demo low.

Fall TV Ratings Update: Tracker, Matlock and Georgie & Mandy Still Lead Non-Sports Fare
Here are the most-watched TV shows of the fall so far -- did any of your favorites make the cut?tvline.com
Tracker is just now on Season 2.Difference being, the other shows you mentioned are New ones.
NCIS has its following already, I don't see many people coming across NCIS and just deciding to pick it up and start watching, 22 years late, your already watching if your an NCIS person ...
That also could effect the New Origins.
I don't worry about rating dipping a bit or rising a bit ...
Same as don't look at the Stock Market every hour like some do.
NCIS has been around for 22+ years now, if they decide to cancel, its been a very good run ... currently they only have 1 person that was almost an Original still on it.
Hows Law and Order (think thats the one, I haven't watched that one in a while now) going ... thats about the only other show thats been on that long, outside of game or reality (non real) shows.
Tracker is a fairly New show as far as I know (I don't watch it, at least yet)
That is the point, new shows are less expensive to produce, look at Big Bang Theory, about Season 2, main cast was making $30,000 a episode, by the time it hit Season 9, $1 Million a episode, that is the same problem a show like NCIS has, legacy shows always cost more.Difference being, the other shows you mentioned are New ones.
And those people are leaving, as proven by my links, those NCIS people are not even watching the new shows.NCIS has its following already, I don't see many people coming across NCIS and just deciding to pick it up and start watching, 22 years late, your already watching if your an NCIS person ...
That show is already on the Cancellation list. That also could affect the New Origins.
It is not dipping or rising a bit, only dipping, ratings are less then last year, last years ratings were less then the previous years.I don't worry about rating dipping a bit or rising a bit ...
I look at it year to year, if you compare it to the stock market, you would only see a downward trend on a chart.Same as don't look at the Stock Market every hour like some do.
The audience is leaving, time to pull the plug.NCIS has been around for 22+ years now, if they decide to cancel, it’s been a very good run ... currently they only have 1 person that was almost an Original still on it.
See, you agree, Law and Order are on that same downward trend.Hows Law and Order (think thats the one, I haven't watched that one in a while now) going ... thats about the only other show thats been on that long, outside of game or reality (non real) shows.
Yes, it is new, a lot cheaper to produce and attracts 3 Million more people, good show, it is also in 4K on Paramount+, looks great, give it a try.Tracker is a fairly New show as far as I know (I don't watch it, at least yet)

You seem to have ALL the Answers ... you really should be an executive that makes all these calls ....That is the point, new shows are less expensive to produce, look at Big Bang Theory, about Season 2, main cast was making $30,000 a episode, by the time it hit Season 9, $1 Million a episode, that is the same problem a show like NCIS has, legacy shows always cost more.

Yes, numbers mean everything in this business, when a show has declining ratings, means advertising revenue is less for those commercials that air during the show.Just because you put something in Numbers, doesn't mean thats it ... theres a lot more than numbers that determine life.
Numbers are NOT everything ....Yes, numbers mean everything in this business, when a show has declining ratings, means advertising revenue is less for those commercials that air during the show.
What does life have to do with it?
Executives do not look at it like just because some like a show, if so, Firefly would never have been canceled, it matters how much it makes.
We do, last nights episode made the first episode make sense to me, good one imho.Well, it appears we no longer have a NCIS Origins Thread ....
I haven't had a chance to watch it yet, been busy with work ... it's that Christmas thing, ya know.We do, last nights episode made the first episode make sense to me, good one imho.
I hope it starts to puts an end to all of Gibbs' brooding and anger, and starts becoming "Gibbs". But that's hard to imagine with Stowell. We do, last nights episode made the first episode make sense to me, good one imho.
