NBC 103

Even though I have the 10 footer "tuned up" better and am getting S90 and Q72 I still have an "odd" problem with the NBC channels. This is on 105 "C" band. The quality does not dip or drop, it holds steady. But I get freezing. It can be a few seconds or just a very quick pause. With such a signal and quality, I wonder what is the problem?
DVBS2 and a symbol rate of 30000, yep you got to be locked on solid or experience stuttering at times it seems.

I have been having similar problems on my nano it comes and goes the nbc feeds. Everything else works just fine.

That is the same with mine. Not all the time, now and then. Found upgrade, but it did not fix the problem. Right now, NBC on 103 Ku, Central time zone is coming in purrrrrfect.

Record the problematic program in transport Stream mode for a few minutes then start a support ticket request on the Amiko Americas site. These errors are usually easy for an engineer to correct in a firmware release.

I'm hoping I can get it on my one meter I have have on a motor, so I don't have to have a dedicated dish for it anymore.

Should be able to watch the transponders switched over on a spectrum analyzer. The carrier will drop, return, levels vary during balancing then stabilize. Might occur over hours or days, depending on how smoothly the transition goes.

Going to be exciting as watching paint dry! :D

Yeah, I've been scanning the Ku side 3 or 4 times a day with my two systems here in the shop to see if any new standard skew TPs come up but haven't seen anything so far. I'm usually up some time between 2/4am for a P break so I'll probably be looking early in the morning.

Just excited about having a standard skew satellite in that location since we've lost the alternate NBC channel when 137w went dark.

Still looks like there will be some tweaking to do, but the transition to SES-3 has happened, a little bit earlier than originally scheduled.

I just lost Cozi. I was watching the western from about 3:55am, and bam, down she went around 4:01am (my clock)

Ok, everything went down completely (fluttered) for around 1 minute or so, and then came back. Signal level WAS 74-75 (MicroHD, 1.2m dish, SatAv bullet SL2 lnb) now is around 79. I had the big signal meter up while this was going on.

I have NOT changed the skew on my lnb as of yet, so is still set to the oddball setting

Ok, 4:20am here now, I just ran out and changed my skew to normal ~ (18 degree's for here), and signal level jumped up to 84. That's a 10 point jump from the old satellite!

AMC-1 to SES-3 TRANSITION
NBC NEWS CHANNEL
OUTAGE IN PROGRESS
LOSS OF VIDEO LIKELY!!!!!

COZI is still Q70, but the above channel dropped to a 40.

The transition happened a little after 2:30 AM Eastern, but the power levels on the NBC transponders have been being tinkered around with ever since.

Nice to see the NBC's feeds jumped up nicely up to 74 to 77% here in New Mexico!:) Good to see Cozi nice and strong!:bow

For the time being I am get some good sleep so 73's.:sleepy

Outage complete, normal skew now. :amen On 12066H SR 4231 I now see this coming in very strong:

Had to reboot the A3 to get COZI to come in. Of course this was after an hour or so of head scratching.

Is nice to be able to get everything on a motorized mount. Hip, Hip, Hooray!!
