NBA 2011-2012 PLAYOFFS

The MORE I read Bill Simmons, the more I realize just how much of a jaded idiot that guy REALLY is. IF he does not like you as a player or a team, it's "he/they are really good....BUT......". Now that Rose is out(he has mentioned before how much he "loves this Bulls team and the way they play...", he has ALREADY started planting the seed IF the Heat come out of the East.

Case in point to his latest article, IF your main nemesis/competition is/was not at full strength, then your championship should have a footnote or asterisk by it.

What happened?

Every time that Lebron had the ball, they would yell, "XXX-hole!" This is one of many of the classy things they have done. Last time the Heat played in MSG, he was shoved into the NYK bench where he slid and rammed his back into the chairs.... it looked pretty painful. They CHEERED every time they showed it on replay.

They have become as classless as some Jets fans down here.

Speaking of LBJ, what's the deal with the lense-less glasses he wore in last night's post-game interview?? Does he think it makes him look smarter??

Supposedly it's the latest fashion trend in Asia that has made it's way here. I pointed this out to a young lady that works with me and stated that supposedly is has become very big among the 20 somethings.

The Heat this year are in a 'Don't showboat or talk the talk; let's just keep quiet and play good basketball' mentality after last all the pomp of last offseason.

Friday's schedule.......

Hawks at Celtics- series tied 1-1- 7:30pm ET (ESPN)
Bulls at 76ers- series tied 1-1- 8:00pm ET (ESPN2)
Lakers at Nuggets- LA leads series 2-0- 10:30pm ET (ESPN)

I think it's pretty cool when the home crowd boos in hockey or basketball when the "enemy" has the ball or puck. But, chanting a-hole is over the top.

Was at the Jets/Pats game most Jets fans were chanting a word towards Brady that rhymes with maggot.

But, believe it or not they aren't the worst. The market I live in, Philly, is the gold standard. I could tell you a thousand stories about the bile that was said to me after the Pats beat the Eagles in the Super Bowl.

And don't get me wrong, Boston fans are far from perfect.

Question for the Celtic fans on here- what is the C's playoff ceiling this spring?

They are, to me, the mystery team of the East, if not the entire playoffs.

They have some players up in age and a somewhat thin bench, but have playoff experience/battle scars (they've been through many postseason wars), superb defense, a very smart coach, and a talented Big Four (Rondo is now worthy of joining Big Three in marquee).

Honestly, given what's transpired so far these playoffs, they really have a shot at winning the East in my eyes.

The problem for the Celtics is finding a way to neutralize an opposing offensive that can put two scoring "bigs" on the floor at the same time.

As I've mentioned previously, the Celtics have lost five quality bigs over the last two years: Rasheed Wallace, Shaquile O'Neil, Jermaine O'Neil, Jeff Greene and Chris Wilcox. Steimsma is a blessing, but so far he has not been as successful against the better centers, just against the mediocre ones and the reserves.

Tough loss in the Heat/Knicks series. The main issue was FTs. If Miami hits their AVERAGE, the game and series is over. But it is what it is.

I asked all my NYK friends about the calls NOW? For some reason the have yet to give me a legit answer....typical. LOL!

Five Celtics tied for the team lead with just 4 rebounds each. That's gotta be the lowest"game High" number of rebounds by any player in the shot-clock era.

England will destroy Italy sunday!! OH YEA!!!
