Bingo... and the Pistons' talent runs the deepest compared to any other team I can think of at this point.

The bench came through defensively, especially Hunter, last night in the second half. Nice win for Detroit over Boston. Got to say though, Rondo is a star in the making for Boston.

Idle thought. How important are coaches in the NBA? Doc Rivers was almost run out of Boston last year (they were the worst team in the league). Is he a genius, now that Boston is 20- 3?

I have been asking that question for years in ALL sports: managers in baseball, head coaches in football and basketball. How can a coach/manager become a "genius" or a "guru" one year when previous years, the team sucked?! That is why I say that as long as their is talent....the coaches/managers add almost nothing to the equation. Name me a sport and the examples are too easy to list.

No perimeter defense. That has been the issue for the last 2 seasons since AFTER winning the title. I KNEW that losing James Posey was gonna be HUGE...

What a GREAT GAME last night!!

Miami beating Utah at the buzzer with what else??....A D.Wade buzzer beater. BUT the most TELLing story was the AGGRESSIVENESS of Shaq!!
He came out the MOST aggressive I have seen ALL season. And though he was "only" able to get 17 points and 10 rebounds, he drew ALOT of attention, altered alot of shots and did the Shaq of old of making people think thrice before coming into the paint, passing to the open man when double and ....yes, I saw an occassional triple team....and blocking 3 shots and altering ATLEAST 8 or 9 shots. Let's see if this can carry the team to a little run and be somewhat significant again in the Eastern Conference.

Shaq is looking like he's out of gas. One game, once in a while. By the way, isee the "U" is 12 - 0, in basketball. Wonder which Miami team will win more games this year.

Pistons win their 7th in a row. The bench is making a major contribution this year with almost 28 pts. a game. No starters even in the top 50 league wide in minutes played. The "Beast of the East"!

Well so far the Pistons and Boston are proving to be the two teams at this point of the season that should match up for the Eastern Finals. Its the same story in the west as it has been for the last five years. Dallas, San Antonio and Phoenix.

The Pistons to me are the best team in the league. (Even though I am a huge Pistons fan I am not being biased about it).

So far they have split two games with Boston, and have taken everyone else by storm. Their bench is the best in the league, and no one else can match up any five guys from their starters or bench with either the Pistons starters or bench.

Now that Stucky is back and playing for Detroit, there are virtually no holes offensively or defensively on that team. They can even take a hit or two in the injury department, and not miss a beat.

I agree with that, my thinking is that I would sacrifice a few regular season wins for fresh legs in the playoffs. Also, what happens if McDyess, or Sheed have an injury? Better to prep Johnson now, then later. Dallas and San Antonio await Wednesday and Thursday. Should be a couple of great games.

With Andrew Bynum out for 6-8 weeks for the Lakers, they're looking like just another team again. That kid was really emerging this year as a potential powerhouse.

THAT statement is the most telling. AND the fact that Jackson runs a killer practice...he could not handle a Jackson practice.
