Paramount Network TV has signed a development deal with National Treasure director Jon Turteltaub. Under terms of the agreement, Turteltaub is developing three scripts for sister network CBS, one of which is expected to go to pilot, with Turteltaub possibly directing.

The projects include Suspect Behavior, a twist on the traditional crime show, with the criminal identified before the crime. Daniel Cerone (Clubhouse) is writing. Also in development is the post-apocalyptic drama Jericho, written by Stephen Chbosky (Rent), about the residents of a Kansas town after a series of nuclear attacks destroys most of the nation's larger cities. On the comedy side, Turteltaub is developing a sitcom about a cop and fireman who marry each other, with Michael Glouberman (Malcolm in the Middle) writing.

In other development news, Is or Isn't Prods. -- the company run by Friends vet Lisa Kudrow and writer Dan Bucatinsky -- has sold a half-hour project to CBS and another to UPN. The CBS comedy, from writer Chris Downey (King of Queens) is about an unlikely friendship between two men released from prison on the same day. The UPN script, written by married novelists Rick Marin and Ilene Rosenzweig, is about a New York couple.
