What happends to the NFL Pack HD channels when Febuary gets Here? What about the MLB channels in HD when Baseball is over. I'm sorry but I have to agree with many on the not counting sports packs.
This is true for both providers. By my count right now, I have 32 full-time HD channels (38 tomorrow), plus 4 LiLs, add to that. (I could also add in 4 OTA channels). With the multi-sport pack (which I don't have) it would be up to about 50 already. And in my count, I left out the NBAHD channel and the HDDEV channel.
I think the count for both should be broken into full-time channels, and then a second list of part-time (almost always) sports channels. Obviously with MLB and NFL and after the new bird goes operational, DirecTV is always going to have a lead in those categories.
For the majority of consumers, its the full-time channels - and the race between the providers to continue to add them - that will matter the most; and where we will all benefit.
