I think they fully intend to bring the shuttle down today, if not in Florida it will be at Edwards on the next orbit.

Yep, they just waved off the 2nd opportunity for a KSC landing, looks like Edwards. Here's for a perfect landing and safe return to cap off this great mission. :)

ku feed too

NBC Satmux 3 channel on AMC6ku has the Houston feed right now, looks almost as good as the c-band Mission control feeds..Less than 33min to landing..

There was HD video of the landing, but unfortunately it was shown letterboxed on their SD channel during the landing replays. I wonder if it was available somewhere else in HD?

Anyway... Congratulations Atlantis and great job! :up

Unfortunately EDW has no HD capabilities. KSC does. So Edwards landings mean no HD.

Is it possible that the letterboxed replay was widescreen but not HD? I suppose they may have also had an HD camera but no production capabilities.

That is a possibility. Good HD cameras are becoming common these days, and while they shoot in HD, almost all can output in SD. The slate at the front of the replay stated 'HD', so it was probably shot in HD but uplinked in SD.
