The title of the thread says it all.
The Mets are truly amazin.
how did the yankees do? :haha
I have no problem with them making the playoffs 13 years in a row, and missing this year. And with that said, if the Tampa Rays had their typical year the Yanks probably would have been the wild card.
That being said, I think Tampa having a breakout year is great for baseball and I hope they go far in the playoffs.
The Mets, though - eeeeeeeeeeewwwwwwwwwwwwwwww.
That's dumb. If the Brewers had their typical year the Mets probably would have been the wild card.

yea, almost same amount of wins as the yankees while spending $70 million less (mets 89-73, yankees 89-72) !sadroll
But the Mets DO HAVE the highest payroll in the National League, don't they?
Yep - and the Mets play in as tough a division as the Yankees do as well. I'd like to see them play Boston 19 times a year.
Accept it - another Mets CHOKE.
haha, funny thing is.. I'm a Red Sox fan
Yankees 40-31 vs AL East
Mets 40-32 vs NL East
yea, it's the divisional play
What does being a Red Sox fan have to do with the Mets choking the past 3 weeks this year and the last month of last season?
Nobody in New England that leans towards the Red Sox/Patriots wants to see any NY team do well.
