Hello,

I found a LNB that is marked Hughes Network Systems, FSS LNB Sat2. Also has 1025448-0008 A.

Anyone have an idea what it is for? Also what are specs?

Thanks in advance.

It also could have been used when D* was running some international prog on an FSS bird several years ago. I can't remember which bird it was on, but it required a larger dish, similar to what is needed today on the 95 bird.

Yes it probably came out of a DirecPC Dish.
It's Linear and can be used for FTA. Horz. and Verical Select with 14/18 V and has a 10750 LO. Not sure what the Noise Figure is.

I seem to have acquired one of these LNBs, also. It has a very strange feedhorn on it. It is oval shaped instead of round and the outer edge is swept back on the sides, kind of like a wedge. I'm assuming this may be used with an oval dish or a dish that would try to pick up more than one sat at once? But how would that work with one LNB?

But, if it can be used with FTA, then I guess I'll hang on to it. One of these days, I have to break down and get a receiver :)
