How good are these sitting in a back seat of a car listening on the portable radio and headphones w/o it hooked up to the car/truck radio while the car is traveling through Utah up to SLC?

Can you buy more than one battery at a time?

If I'm in the middle of Star Valley/Thayne is reception good in a car?

Are these worth $299? I just want to hear the game like a UCLA or Angels game.

Thanks for anyone's opinion.
Mike

You could have good reception if you are able to attach the one "tampon" antenna to the window and it is facing the correct direction or if your in an area that has repeaters.

As far as accessories go I'm not sure you can buy an extra batteries for the unit.

As far as it being worth $299 it can be found for much less then that. You can get the Tao or Airwave for as low as $129.

Thanks. I ended up with Sirius. I know the NHL is leaving and Howard is coming. I lose MLB, but I have that on the net. I hope it works okay. Sounds good so far here at home.
