My Pay Pal Prepaid card - Can't ad money on the card

Hi Folks,

Does anyone here know anything about NOT able to ad money to a Pay Pal prepaid card,
that's only been NEW for almost a year???? And have NOT use it often, until when you
really need to, and found out that the store customer service tells you that it cannot take it????

For example....

I got the NEW Pay Pal prepaid card in 2016, and I have never use it often.
Except in November and December, 2016 I was able to ad money to my Pay Pal
account at SAFEWAY store, nearby.
And when NOT using it, I always keep it in the envelope that came in the mail.
NOT in my wallet.

Up until last month, in October. at Safeway store, when I was about to ad money
to my card, at first the cashier at the Customers' Service at Safeway store, thought
that it's ready to take it, but then all the sudden within seconds, it won't take it.
She said "It won't take it." And she returned my money back.

The same problem last week at the same store at Safeway store, it won't take it.

The card I got last year is suppose to last until 3/20. March, 2020.

My nephew helped me by checking it out with Pay Pal and had to
order a NEW card, AGAIN!!!

This isn't the first time it happen to me.

It happened back in 2016, that card was suppose to last until March, 2019.
But then my nephew told me that I had to get a NEW one, which is
the one I'm using NOW. And won't take more funding to it.

My nephew doesn't know why and what's going on with the system between
Pay Pal and SAFEWAY store.

I contacted Pay Pal and they won't tell me, but they said to get a new card.

Can anyone here tells me why the hell Pay Pal doesn't make your NEW
Pay Pal Prepaid card DOESN'T LAST LONGER?????

My nephew told me that Pay Pal are greed, but there's no charge for a new
card, anyway. He said that they're "stupid" customer support.

So, right now I'm waiting for my NEW card within 2 weeks.

Now, the question is, how to prevent this another problem IF Safeway store
says that it won't take it.

When I get the NEW one, I should ignore when it will expire, because
Pay Pal always expired in a short term, on my two cards.

What would you do with the NEW Pay Pal prepaid card to prvent
SHORT TERM expectoration???

You never know???

What do you think???

Anyone with experience with Pay Pal prepaid card???? Frustrated.

a data breach somewhere. paypal detects the issue so they freeze the card for your protection but cant for security reasons let you know whats ooccured.....

my bank has frozen my debit card one more than one occasion like this

the freeze wouldnt let you add or remove any money...

if they allowed you to add $ but froze it for spending not being able to use your card would be worse

Here's the latest with my Pay Pal problem, and it's still is!!!!
I'll do my best in explaining it to you, it's kind of complicated
Unless IF you've already knows it.

I requested for a re-placement card for the same Pay Pal account. OK???
Then when I got the card, it turned out to be a new card with new number!!!
That means I would have to have a new Pay Pal account!!! : - ((( STUPID PAY PAL!!!
So, I tried to deactivate the account with the first card that didn't let me load
money onto, and tried to activate a new account with THIS card with new numbers
on it.

At the end, all the sudden, Pay Pal screwed it UP AGAIN!!! : - (((
It was perfect in having a new account for the card with different number on it.

When talked to Pay Pal customer service, they can hardly speak ENGLISH!!! : - (((
And you think they understand that you want a card replacement for the same
account???? What about the ones that process the cards??? Doubt they understand!!! : - ((((

Since I made a perfect account, and they screwed up, I once again request for another
Pay Pal card, YES, another one, again.

Still haven't got it yet in the mail.

Now I won't be able to buy Christmas presents on ebay, this year!!! : - ((((

So, hopefully that the next card which will has a different number on it
will work with my Pay Pal account!!! And able to load money on it at
SAFFEWAY store nearby.

Pay Pal folks are so STUPID!!! GREED, want your money!!!!
Well, hey, IF they want your money, how can you IF your Pay Pal
card doesn't work to load money onto???? Screwed up!!!

And once you do get the card, you think it would last longer, till
the year that would expire. NO, my card would only last at
least less than a year or maybe a year and a half, then it stops
letting you from load money onto it!!!! Your Pay Pal card
will NOT last long than you think it would.

Bob maybe right, that there some how a data breach occur.

What should we do IF we get another Pay Pal card????
And assuming that it would NOT last long???

I have no idea what's going on with PayPal, but they've got everything screwed up. I have had my account since 2008 and have always been able to order from anywhere, including the UK, China or Korea. For no apparent reason, my orders have been restricted. I tried 6 different sellers trying to order a wallet. The 6th one finally went through. With all the others, it said to use a different method of payment.

I'm using the same method I've used since 2003. Two months ago, I tried to order a FTA satellite receiver. No go. Two weeks later, it let me order it from the same seller it blocked previously. EBay tried to tell me it was PayPal, and PayPal tried to tell me it was EBay. I know it's not EBay because everything goes well right up until I click on "Pay." Then PayPal sends the message "please choose another method of payment."

I've called PayPal a half dozen times and always get the same response, "There's nothing wrong with your account." The sellers on EBay should be pissed because it costing them sales. Every time I get this message, I contact the seller and let them know what's going on. Maybe if enough people complain, they'll fix their problem. We can only hope.
