Since they are listed already on Lyngsat, I must ask:


Whats going on with the MusicChoice radio channels on IA5? (97 west). The quality meter on my Coolsat 4000 blows, it never gets past 60%. Most other transponders on that bird are fine. Anyone else have this problem? Ice, I know those music channels we're in your list, any issues on your end? I gotta have my 80s


Bottom line, they don't come in well.

I checked mine is 69% (Coolsat 5k).

88% here (98 max) on the 80's channel.

That's only slightly lower than say Russian today which gives me 91%

I am with you on that.I really enjoy late 60's early 70's classic rock.

I use the audio channels on ia5 a lot. One thing I like is that unlike the ones on 119 they scan in with proper channel names/ genre's.

As for my music tastes? Anything but "crying in your beer" country and opera.

crying in your beer in the 80s was ok, but after they started making country in to country/rock combos things went downhill fast. My basic premise is that if you can clog to it it probably ain't worth listening to... Everything else is ok as far as country goes so long as you can do a two step to it.
