Mulyiple Receivers connected to single LNBF ?

I have understood that multiple receivers can be daisy-chained to a single LNBF by connecting LNB2 IN to LNB1 OUT, LNB3 IN to LNB2 OUT, ditto for #4 and possibly #5. Cable splitters are NOT to be used between the LNBF and receiver.

Am I correct, or am I mistaken?

More ??? When adding receivers to the daisy chain (assuming that's the way to go), should ALL connected receivers be unplugged? Again, assuming that not all receivers have the GEOSAT Master OFF switch.

If receiver #1 and #2 are unplugged, does the signal from the LNBF still pass through to receiver #3?

In preparation for digital sub-channels, we plan on having 2 or 3 GEOSATpro DSR-R100b receivers plus a TOPFIELD and possibly a MANHATTAN.

That only works if the channels are on the same polarity. If channels are on opposite polarities it wont work

The best way to set it up is to swap out the LNB to a dual

and then use a 2x4 or 3x8 multiswitch

run both lines from the LNB to the switch. Then you can hook up the receivers and each one can pick a channel from either polarity without issues

Also, the loop through will produce increased attenuation and could negatively affect reception.

Loop through is not advised in any situation and especially not for commercial applications requiring reliable signals.

If all the channels that they want to set up are on the same transponder (like the 3ABN mux) they could use a satellite splitter then.
