Multiple Receivers on Same Cable

I currently have an HR10-250 DVR and will probably get an HR20 DVR in the near future.

Since I have been reading about many problems with the HR20, I would like to keep the HR10-250 and have both it and the HR20 connected to the same TV.

Will this require another set of two cable to be installed into the room or is there a way to make the existing set feed two receivers at the same time?

For correct results each needs its own cable runs.

Assuming you have dual sat lines and an OTA line, you should be able to hook up one on each and the OTA on the 10-250. Wouldn't that temporally give you what you are looking for, or at least hedge your bet on the reliability of the HR20?

That is what I was afraid of. I will have to decide whether a new cable run is worth while.
