Multiple channel numbers for HD channels

Hi, I'm relatively new to the DirecTV HD thingy, but I'm just curious as to why I'd have two seperate channel designations for seemingly the same stations, (ESPN 73/206) HBO, Showtime, etc.

It is a software glitch, D* told me they were working on a fix.

Channels in the 70's are the original locations. These are being phased out to map them directly with the Non-HD channel. Nobody really knows when they will go away, but I just set up a Favorites list and eliminated the 70s.

Thanks, I was kind've guessing it was something like that, but didn't know if it was something like one was compressed the other wasn't, or something technical that I couldn't identify.

No its not! These are still here for the Mpeg2 HD customers,who haven't upgraded to the new HR-20 -21 or H20-21.
