MSGHD-Rangers?

Question,

Can I just by the sports pack and catch the Ranger games? or do I need
to buy the NHL package?

I really am only interested in MSGHD.

Rep at Dtv could not give a diffinative answer.

MSGHD is availabe in the sports pack, but games could be blacked out if you are not in their area. Most games are blacked out for me....I live in Alabama.

You will need to buy the NHL package. All live games are blacked out on the sports pack except for your local sports channel. With the NHL package however, you may not always get the MSG feed. You may get the other team's feed but you will still be able to watch the game.

actually, this season's center ice package has been very good about broadcasting both feeds......even in hd. last night's bruins-devils game was an example as both the nesn and fsn-ny hd feeds were available.

I've had MSG-HD on my DTV the last two nights, got both the Knicks and noticed the ranger game on in HD the last two nights. Is this temporary or was there an agreement i didnt hear about?
