MRV switch is hot?? Normal?

I have the MRV switch in a cabinet and the cable going in is super hot.
Also unit (mrv) is warm.

Unit is in a cabinet next to direct receiver. I did not think it needs ventilation?

Please advise?

Mine is too. DirecTV said it was normal for them to be "very warm" so I just left them where they were. If you can get ventilation to them great--but I wouldn't go out of my way to do it.

Mine sits on top of my Router. It's very well ventilated and it's still pretty warm. It's normal for the device.
