mpeg4 211/411 0r 622 with a sa series 1 tivo

Guys,

heres my question say i have an dishnot mpeg4 reciever if i took the rca out from mpeg4 ird into tivo rca in on a series 1 sa , would tivo be able then to dumb down the supposed mpeg4 signal and record it in mpeg2?

i dont have a mpeg4 reciever thats why i ask.

THe Dishnetwork reciever will do all the MPEG4 decoding, so yes, anything that is being output through the RCA output, the Tivo would be able to see.
