MPEG2 Western Arc shutoff

With my subscription, I get New York locals in SD from a CONUS feed. They have been on 119, transponder 20 (according to LyngSat). I'm extremely hopeful that when Dish is done with all of their changes to the WA that I will end up with these channels in HD. I got to thinking last night that since Dish is eliminating all MPEG-2 transmissions, that maybe I could check the LyngSat site to see what format they are currently being broadcast (my logic being that if they are in MPEG-2 now, that it is a good possibility that they are going to be changed to MPEG-4, and hopefully in HD). To my surprise, I saw that they have been removed from 119:

However, I can't figure out where they have been moved to (I still have them in SD). The LyngSat site doesn't show them anywhere else (that I can find).

Is there a way that I can look up where my receiver is picking up a channel? I have a Hopper 3 using the H343 software.
Question for you while you are around, how much of an improvement are Echo23's signal levels for you compared to before? IIRC, you are on 1.5m/2m dishes, think you can get away with something smaller now?

Well, I have no idea how to determine specifically which satellite I'm tuned in to. From what I understand, Dish is using Echostar 10, 11, and 23 at the 110 location (although I don't know whether they are actually broadcasting from 23 yet or not). Honestly, I don't ever pay any attention to the signal levels (except when I first aimed the dish). Either the channels are coming in or they're not (which only happens when it rains fairly heavily). I have a six foot (1.8m) dish with the main LNB looking at 119, and an offset LNB looking at 110. I also have an 8 foot (2.4m) dish looking at 72. If it is helpful to you, I was getting a signal strength of 48 on 110, transponder 1 while checking these four channels.

Based on a post from another user located in CR, it seams that 110 transponder 2 is definitely Echo23, do you mind checking it?

As rapidly as they are moving channels this may not be accurate.
I have some lists of channels that have moved this week, but they're long and I'm not sure if I can post them here (although I don't see the harm)

That is precisely what they are doing with a modified WA LNBF Twin

Will it be called Hybrid Dual WA.2? Someone said when 129 sat goes offline a new software update will fix the receivers where they can’t look for 129 sat lol. I’m assuming the hybrid Triple WA.2 will be recognized as Hybrid Dual WA.2 after a future software update when 129 sat goes offline.

That makes sense, as for the name. The software comment is also correct

PTC Change/Sat move

  • The
Wow! They're staying busy moving stuff around and making other changes. I don't even know what all of what you have listed means, but thanks for sharing. I'm really curious to see what things are going to look like for me come the end of July. I'm very hopeful that for the first time ever I will actually be able to receive all of the channels that I'm paying for, and that the majority of them (it would be nice if all, but I'm not going to get greedy) are in HD (I mean, who really needs SD anymore anyway?!).
