Was just told by a CSR that new customers will be getting the updated receivers and existing customers can not upgrade until March. What a crock if this is true!

Well at least their true colors are bleeding through.

They think they already HAVE most of us and are taking financial advantage. Many of us are tied to Dish either by a time contract or such a large investment in hardware that it would take a lot for us to start over somewhere else. So OUR money will keep pouring into Dish each month without them investing another dime in us.

What they want first are new customers to provide a quick increase in cash flow. When they think that's peaked out, they'll start thinking about us even if only to get the increased price for the HD package.

Anyone that thinks Dish is any different doesn't know Dish's past history.

Nothing will make them change their current path that doesn't affect them in the pocket book - period. Maybe the threat of a major boycott for HD would do something but a few individule posts about leaving Dish doesn't concern them much at all.

That may or may not be true. Remember, it came from the mouth of a CSR!
