"Moving" with 2 DirecTivos

I just got my service activated, and I am about to change my service address. Do I have to have the units plugged in to phone, because I have multiple units (and the $5 Mirror fee). I would like to not plug these in where I "move". Also, how will having DTivo service complicate this? I will be "moving" less than 30 miles away in the same area code.

Just leave the phone line plugged in & everything will be fine. Just tell them you are keeping the same phone# while you're at "your 2nd house". I've "moved" 2 DMA's away from mine & have had ZERO problems with my D-Tivo's & phone line for 3+ years.

maybe he is trying to get locals from a neighboring DMA because his arent available
