newbie logging on.

have been reading about probs with BEV since relocationing.

I will be moving to naples fl this spring.

have a bev 6000 at present but am a little confused
after reading many forums , regardingmy options.

Can I get all bev channels by using a larger dish??

or should I sub to starchoice and dump bev.

I am a " limey" and have been in Canada for 30 years
so am keen to keep my canuck programming,
and I am a football lover , soccer that is.

SO channels such as " the score " and sportsnet are important.

Thanks for you help

You will lose The Score, and Sportsnet West and one other, can't remember off the top of my head.

You will also lose another good chunk of other programming depending on what package you subscribe to.

A bigger dish will not work.

Starchoice may be the way to go for you. I'll be just up the road from you in Fort Myers, I have BEV, mainly because they have CBC-HD for HNIC and TSN-HD. From what I understand Starchoice now offers these as well.

If you look at the Nimiq 3 sticky in this forum, it lists the channels that are on that satellite that we can't get down here.

Agreed. Star Choice is the way to go in Florida. (I was an ExpressVu customer until losing many channels due to the Nimiq 3 move). No matter your dish size, you won't pick up Nimiq3 in Naples. The footprint just doesn't reach.

You'll get a few less channels with Star Choice, but I get everything I want...and generally with better picture quality.

Thanks guys
will be looking to get shut off my bev stuff in the spring
will watch for starchoice promos
