@Brussam. That's exactly what I want to do, except I want to keep my current 722 since it has a lot of recordings I'd rather not lose. Is there a way to change my condo account over to the RV and keep the same DVR?
I can't answer that until you tell me if you own or lease the 722. If you've told us that I forgot.fputnam said:@Brussam. Not entirely true. Leased equipment can't be "deactivated" if you decide to spend a few months at home. So you have to carry the receiver into the house or pay for it sitting idle in the RV while also paying for your house receiver. For full-time or extended time RVing where your RV is your home, the equipment can be leased. Your RV is your home and is treated just the same as a S&B house
Pay attention. I didn't say deactivate the receivers, I said turn off DNS.Not entirely true. Leased equipment can't be "deactivated"
How about you pay attention. I said deactivate receivers that are in RVs that are in storage for month on end.Pay attention. I didn't say deactivate the receivers, I said turn off DNS.
I will try one more time. The receivers from the RV go into the S&B House. One set of receivers in the residence you are in at the time. No storage. How about you pay attention. I said deactivate receivers that are in RVs that are in storage for month on end
I'll try one more time too. Some folks don't want to tear up their coaches to carry a STB into their house(S&B House). IT goes to storage with the RV. And believe it or not some folk, especially retirees aren't comfortable fiddling with technology.,I will try one more time. The receivers from the RV go into the S&B House. One set of receivers in the residence you are in at the time. No storage.
I geared my proposal based upon what the OP said that he has already moved his VIP722 into his RV for the time he spent in it. He just wanted yo know about Locals or DNS.Where did you get the impression that your idea was the one all others were to be measured against?
People of good will always triumph. We both need pats on the back. The good thing is the OP is on the right path and is filling out the forms.
