Moving for real

I tried searching for moving and all I found were others "Moving". I have a question concerning my contract. I am 1 year into my contract and am planning to move to a different state. I know D has the a program for setting up service at your new house where you only take your receivers. I do not want my contract extended and want to know if doing this extends your contract? If it does, would my slim 5 be all I need there as I have whole home dvr's? I live in Augusta, GA now but plan on moving to Kansas City. Thanks

I think using the movers connection renews/extends your contract. Have you checked the Directv website? That information should be there.

Well DIRECTV: MOVERS CONNECTION PROGRAM mentions nothing about a contract extension so I want to know from the experts here before I call and am fed a line of BS only to find out the truth later on.

Ask a csr to email you the information. That way you have proof of your discussion.

Moving does not renew your contract. If you add to or upgrade your system then your contract will be renewed.

When the tech arrives at your new location he should have the proper equipment (dish, lnb, splinters) for your setup.

I did it a couple of weeks ago. Just the move does not extend the contract.
