Movie Setup to Record, Cinema ($3.99) in List

I'm having an issue that DIRECTV technical support doesn't even seem to believe I'm having... so I'm hoping someone on here might be able to help or at least tell me I'm not alone. Here is what is happening...

I'm using the Android DIRECTV app to pull up what's playing by channel and going through the next week or two and choosing movies to download so that way I always have a couple of movies on my DVR to play. There has now been 3 occasions where I've setup something to record this way and instead of recording it's immediately shown up on my list as a DIRECTV Cinema movie that I'm able to watch for a price.

Why is this happening? The channels have been FX and ABC Family, both of which are channels I subscribe to and pay for each month so there should be no problem recording these shows when they air.

The DIRECTV technical support staff insist I'm searching for a show and then choosing VOD to watch the show; however, that is most defintely not the case. I would argue that even if I'm choosing VOD why is it asking me to pay, but none the less... I'm not choosing VOD.

I would love to hear this a a known issue with DIRECTV and they are working to get this fixed; however, when I called and spoke to a 'supervisor' he was very persistent in saying he has never seen this issue before and it is not a known issue.

Like Tex mentioned, it's a bug and thus D* knows about it.
You not getting anywhere with it thru the CSR's doesn't surprise me at all, your just not getting anywhere close to the level of D Rep that would know the status if the situation.

The problem info might not have got to the CSRs yet (might not until after the weekend)., but it is definitely happening to others, and DirecTV does know about it. People report that they select a program to record (movie) from a free channel, and the same program is on PPV and the DVR records that one in error.

FYI this has happened before (last year?) but DirecTV fixed it then. Now it seems to be back!
 
This has happened to me once as well, I selected a movie a few weeks back with the "search" option, the movie was on Cinemax, when it was placed on the to-do list it tried to record the same movie on PPV/VOD??? Even though I cancelled the recording, I have been watching my bill to make sure I didn't get charged.
